Our dear friends Buck and Aubrey gave birth Tuesday night to a beautiful baby girl. Sean and I were with them for part of the labor, we left when it was time to start pushing. Their daughter, Mikayla Grace, was 6 lbs 2 oz and 19 inches. Aubrey had her a week before she was due. There were no complications and the labor progressed beautifully.
Seeing them with their little girl makes Sean and I long for ours to be born. And it makes it seem more real that there is a baby in my belly.

Exploring the Local Landscape
There is so much to do here in south eastern Idaho - I love it. I've always wanted to be here in Rexburg in the summer so I could explore the great outdoors. We haven't done as much exploring as we would like because I am huge and so prego and don't want Sean to deliver our baby in the mild of the wilderness.
Just a little north of Rexburg, outside of St. Anthony are the sand dunes. It is so crazy. In the middle of a bunch of farm fields are tons of sand dunes.

Lexi and I sat and watched Sean explore. It was hot and and we get tired easily.

Rexburg is in the middle of a beautiful valley. I love how you can see the mountains in every direction.
We went to the duck pond again. Sean loves looking at the fish and harassing the ducks.
A Weekend of Remebering and Honoring Our Parents
It's been five years since Sean's mom, Pam, passed away and went to the other side of the veil to serve another mission and sing the song of the Savior's redeeming love. We miss her. You know you're a good parent when you still influence you children when you are not even there. She truely was a fabulous mother and example.
Since today is Father's Day, it is a wonderful time to honor our own fathers. Garth is such a fabulous support to Sean and I. He is so layed back and low key and we love that about him. Sean wants to be just like his dad- sitting on the couch, watch the game, drinking a "tall cool one" with a baby on his lap. My dad, Donn is such a blessing in my life. He has always been a support to me and a source of comfort. I can't wait to see him with my daughter. That will be so precious.
I guess Father's Day applies to Sean now, becuase we have a baby, even if she is in my belly. I can't wait to see him hold her and adore her. I know that she is going to have him wrapped around her tiny fingers.

Reunion
On Friday, my friends Mike and Valerie came over to our apartment to visit me. Mike and I grew up in the same ward. I hadn't seen him since before his mission in Sydney. He totally has a sweet accent, I just wanted to laugh when he talked.
Valerie is waiting for my friend Garrett while he is on his mission in Germany. He will be home in a few weeks and she is so excited. I can relate. I am excited for her and wish her and Garrett the best of luck. Sean guesses they will be married in December. We will see.
I told Mike that I wanted to take a picture for my mom. This is what I got. Somethings just don't change- he still is a goof.

Our New Forms of Transportation
So, a few weeks ago Sean won a bike at work. We were so excited because we were planning on buying him one anyway. And this one is way nicer than anyone we would have bought. He has rode it a few times to work and really enjoys it. He would ride it more if he didn't start work at 6:00 am. He will get more use out of it in the fall.

We have been planning on buying a new car for months. We finally got the nerves. We bought a 2005, Hyundai Elantra. We are so excited to have heat, AC, music and a few other perks. We loved our old car but our Acura was getting old and as started having problems. I got that car in high school and have so many good memories with it. We are just so happy to have the stress of buying a car overwith before our baby is born. Her carseat is in the car ready to go. This car will work great until Sean is done with school and we can't fit the babies in the back seat anymore.

Lil' Lexi Update
I am now 35 weeks along. That means I've got about a month left. Yes! I am so ready. This week little Lexi gave us a scare. I was feeling sick, having lots of cramps, no appetite (which is weird for me), and a little spotting. So, I went and got everything checked out and I am fine and she is just about ready to come. Dr. Barton told me that if I went into labor, they wouldn't try to stop me! Yikes.
This week was our second time going to our birthing class. I have really enjoyed it. Sean has too, but he won't admitt it. This week we talked about labor and delivery. I don't know why but when we talked about the stages of labor, I got all teary eyed and scared. But when we watch several women give birth, I thought, oh that doesn't look so bad.
Sean picked out an outfit for our little princess. He wants it to be her coming home from the hospital outfit. He is so excited to have a daddy's little girl. It is so fun to watch him talk to my belly and she her respond to his voice. They already have a precious relationship.

Our Newest Hangout Spot
Sean and I love Rexburg. It is so gorgeous this time of year and the weather is perfect. We went out by the rodeo and fairgrounds and found a sweet park with a duck pond.
You can see the temple from anywhere in Rexburg, it is so great!
This is me 33 weeks prego. I am ready to pop... we went to the doc's on Friday and he said that Alexia should be measuring 40 weeks 4th of July weekend. Right now, I feel like she should come early because I don't have anymore room in here.
This is a sweet duck pond. It will be so fun to have little Lexi here next summer. Sean can't wait to have a playmate.
Sean loves fish... who knows why but he loves to stop and watch them. These red fish were crazy. They kept jumping out of the water and swiming around all crazy like.
Sean chased the ducks... of couse.
