Hope everyone had a Great Cinco de Mayo.

Sean celebrated by going to work and studying for his first CPA test.

Us ladies celebrated by going to the park and enjoying the 80 degree sunshine.

A Memorable Memorial Monday

We had a fanastic day. It was great to be together as a family. We had an easy morning. We just hung out at home and played Wii Fit. Then we headed off to the Park. We had a picnic and then rode on the carousel, which opened today, and of course the swings. After Lexi's nap we went and walked around the temple. And then tonight we just played and relaxed.

I just realized that I am not in any of the pictures. Oh well, that is the life of a mom. All of my favorite ones were of Sean and Lexi.

The Joys of H2O

Friday, I took Lexi swimming on campus for the second time. This time we went our friends Brenda and Sophie. We were in the pool for 30 minutes. And Lexi only screamed this time for 15 minutes! So, we are improving!

Saturday, the spray park opened. And we took Lexi. And she loved it! We will be going back many more times this summer.

A Christensen Filled Weekend

We convinced Sean's brother Aaron to come up from Provo for the weekend. So we spent a lot of time with him and Sean's sister Andrea who already lives here. Friday, Andrea hosted a "Floacial" (a root beer float social). It was wierd being in single house. It was really loud. Sean was voted best mug. It's hard to beat the bears!
Saturday we all went to our ward party at Porter Park. It was a BBQ. While we were there I got interview by a local newsman. He asked me about why I come to the park (it was a slow news day). After the BBQ, we drove up to Mesa Falls. Which was ton of fun. Lexi didn't like it though, I think she didn't like the loud noise.

Saturday night, Andrea went to a bonfire at Beaver Dick Park, yes it is really called that, though Sean calls it "Water Loving Mammal Richard Park." While she was there Sean and Aaron snuck up on her group and attacked them with water balloons. They didn't realize it was Sean and Aaron, so they were ticked off by "the jerks who got them wet." But later we told Andrea it was them and then all of a sudden it was a hilarious prank.
Today, we had a family breakfast together and took pictures of ourselves. It was a great weekend.

Ryan and Lexi's Last Day Together

So I have been watching Ryan since January. She is a regular at our place. I really think that Lexi likes having her around. Friday, Ryan's little brother Owen was born and so it was our last day with Ryan. Nicole is home with the kids and they are getting ready to move to Dallas in two weeks! I just wanted to post some pictures of our great day with the girls. We tagged along with Sean while he went golfing. We walked along for the first three wholes and at that point the course met up with the park so we went and played and then walked to the neighboring duck pond..

Parks and Recreation (hehe)

Ever since we got back to Rexburg the weather has been amazing! I've been outside every day. Today I even got a little sun burnt (At least I was smart enough to put sun block on Lexi)! Lexi and I are loving the weather. Here are some pictures from our fun in the sun.

Spring Had Come!

Last week we had amazing weather in Rexburg. Lexi and I went on at least one walk everyday. To celebrate the first day of spring, we walked with some friends to Porter Park and went down the slide. And another day we walk to another flea market on campus (we didn't buy any turtles this time). I even got a little pink from all the sun. It's been amazing! Lexi has loved the sun and the gentle breeze. And that girl loves sitting on the grass. But this morning we woke up to a lite dusting of snow. That's Rexburg for you though. It is was a sunny day and all the snow melted away but it's annoying because I am ready for more days of capris and sandals.

The Duck Pond

So today we look Lexi to the Duck Pond for the first time, right after we took her to Puerto Vallarta's for the first time. It's our favorite Mexican place in town. She did good. She seemed to enjoy all the brightly painted walls at Puerto Vallarta's. Going to the Duck Pond was nice, for me especially, because I like getting out of the house and it was such a gorgeous day.

First Family Pic-Nic

Today after Sean got home from work we decided to go eat lunch in the park. It was Alexia's first time going. So we packed up and went to Taco Bell to get the food. Haha, that is right we didn't bring food from home. Anyway, Alexia seemed to enjoy being outside and she didn't mind being in the grass. We sat under a tree and it got little black stuff on us, Sean called it tree sprem. He is so wierd. Anyway, it was fun and I can't wait until next summer when Alexia will really enjoy the park.

Exploring the Local Landscape

There is so much to do here in south eastern Idaho - I love it. I've always wanted to be here in Rexburg in the summer so I could explore the great outdoors. We haven't done as much exploring as we would like because I am huge and so prego and don't want Sean to deliver our baby in the mild of the wilderness.

Just a little north of Rexburg, outside of St. Anthony are the sand dunes. It is so crazy. In the middle of a bunch of farm fields are tons of sand dunes.



Lexi and I sat and watched Sean explore. It was hot and and we get tired easily.

Rexburg is in the middle of a beautiful valley. I love how you can see the mountains in every direction.
We went to the duck pond again. Sean loves looking at the fish and harassing the ducks.
