Newborn Comparison Pictures

I have never been really good at looking at my own children and determining who they look like.
I always just think that they look like themselves.
I decided to look threw the girls' baby pictures again and see who looks like who.

My kids all have my hands and feet. These are totally my toes.
I wish I had a good picture of Avery's feet to share. Her's were much more dry than Eli's.
I've noticed that the more overdue my kids are the drier their skin is.

And here's Lexi, Avery and then Eli in their car seat ready to head home from the hospital.
Notice that my kids keep getting bigger.

And here's the kids (Lexi, Avery and then Eli) awake, laying in their Boppy pillow.

I've decided that my kids have some similar features but each have their own look.
Also looking through all these pictures has made me realize that Eli is so much bigger than my girls!
He has his 2 week check-up tomorrow, so we'll find out just how big he is.

Avery's 2 Year Old Stats and Some Predictions

Yesterday, Avery had her 2 year check up.
She did great.
The girls have a phenomenal doctor who we are really gonna miss.
Avery got her last shot until Kindergarten and did the best she ever has getting a shot.
She held her Gus Gus stuffed animal (the plump mouse from Cinderella).

And here are Avery's stats:

Head: 19 inches
Weight: 22 lbs 8 oz (7%)
Height 33 1/2 inches (42%)

She has been getting taller.
Which explains why she almost always eats 3 times as much as Lexi.

My mom heard that if you take your child's height at age two and double it,
that's how tall they will be when they grow up.
So if this is true then Avery will be 5'7 and Lexi will be 5'8.
I'm 5'9 so it could happen.
Only time will tell.

Look at How Much Avery's Grown!

17 months later...

Since I love to put my girls in matching clothes that means
I have several outfits sized 2 years apart.
Today I pulled out the 24 month/ 2T box of clothes for Avery.
In one month she will be the age Lexi was when she became a big sister
and started wearing matching clothes.
So now Avery will start wearing the same outfits she did when she was a baby.
So I will be taking several comparison pictures.

10 months ago today I held my little Avery for the first time.
I have loved holding her this past 10 months.
Avery really does bring so much happiness to our home. We all love her very much.
Here's a picture of my holding her for the first time.
(Well the first time after she got cleaned up. And excuss my tired face.
23 hours of labor and pushing out a baby will do that to ya.)
And for comparison's sake, here's a picture of me and Avery this weekend.
Boy has my little Joy changed!
I picked this particular picture because I think that I look like my own mom.
And to be honest, I have never thought that I looked like either of my parents.

I love the fact that Avery has my big, dark, green eyes!
They are the same eyes that my mom has.
It makes me think of the Taylor Swift song, "The Best Day."
The part that says, "And I loved you for giving me your eyes.

And yes, I did get a haircut. Hurray for change!

8 Month Comparison in Pictures

Here are some picture of the girls on the days they turned 8 months old.
March 6, 2009 for Lexi and today, December 28, 2010 for Avery.
Can you tell who is who?

Hint: Avery is the first one and Lexi is the second one in all the pictures.

Two Little Ducks

See previous post first....

So I'm not sure what I'm going to do about this costume. I bought it for Avery. It's way bigger than I expected (the joys of online shopping). It was the "Infant" size. I guess I should have bought the "Newborn" one. Oh well. We'll get use out of it from at least one if not both our girls...

You can't really tell in this picture but the costume is a little high water-ish on Lexi. Which I guess should be expected since it's a size 6-18 month costume. So cute though!

We held our precious little Avery Joy in our arms for the first time...

We have loved getting to know Avery and watch her grow. She really is such a joy. She doesn't complete our family (I know we still have more spirits waiting to come to our home) but she makes us whole for now. She is the perfect addition and we love her so much!!!
Here are some pictures I took of Avery today...

And for fun some comparison pictures of our girls at the exact same age, wearing the exact same outfits...

Next week we have Avery's 4 month check up. I'm excited to see how big this little girl is.

Another "A. Christensen"

I took this picture of Avery this morning and it made me think of this (Click on the link to see what).

Yes I know I should be working on Lexi's birthday post and I will. I'm just a little overwhelmed. I took so many pictures that it's hard for me to choose which ones I want to post. If you want to see the best 72 pictures from her birthday (I took over 200) that you can go to our Shutterfly site.
