Avery Update

Avery is constantly growing and changing (like all babies do, but it's just more exciting when it's your baby). Just within the last week every has been a real chatter box! She is always making noise and I love it. She is also getting really good at sitting up by herself. Yesterday, I tried to lay her down in the tub she wouldn't. She kept trying to sit up so finally I let her (I kept a hand of her of course). And of course Avery is still the smiliest baby I've ever known!

That Makes Two..

... BYU-Idaho Alumni for our family!!! Yesterday, Sean officially graduated!!! He earned his bachelor's degree in Accounting with a cluster (mini minor) in Spanish and Computer Information Science. I am so proud of my husband. He has been going to school for the past five semesters straight, taking demanding upper level classes. Although going to school while working and having a family isn't easy, Sean wouldn't have done it any other way. Having a family and getting an education are both big priorities to Sean so he made it work...

To get excited for graduation, Sean and Lexi wore BYU-I shirts all yesterday.
So studious and smart looking.
So Sean.
I'm so proud of Sean for going to school year round, in a demanding major, while working, while still finding time to devote to his family. Lexi really is his pride and joy and he has always tried to give her tons of love and attention. He's an amazing dad!
Our proud and very excited family!
Sean jumping in excitement outside of the Smith building where he spent the majority of his time on campus (other than the library).
Receiving his "diploma."

No reason to get so excited, this thing is empty. The real diploma arrives in the mail.

Our group. Andrea and Brandon represented the Christensen family, since no one else was able to make it.
After the ceremony we went to get ice cream at G's. A family tradition of ours... Lexi loved it, of course.

Class of 2008

I made it! I am officially a college graduate. I had a hard time at the end; having a baby the week before finals is not the ideal way to finish college but I survived. Well, I won't know for sure if I officially graduated until my grades come out on Thursday, but I participated in my convocation ceremony. I was the student speaker. I was stressed about that because I have been so busy that I didn't have much time to write my talk but it went well, at least that is what people said. I am proud as myself, I graduate Cum Laude (I didn't know that until I saw the program).

I want to thank my parents and everyone who has helped me get to this point in my life.
I can't wait to take a picture like this with two more kids and Sean in a cap and gown.
To be honest I am more excited about motherhood than graduating.
Waiting on the stand.
The proud family picture.
