Growth Spurt

We Love Snow

One thing that I love about Rexburg is the seasons. We are in winter right now so that means snow. Today was Snow Fest. Since we have lots of snow we might as well enjoy it. We didn't go for very long. We mainly wanted to check it out. There were free goodies, hot chocolate, bowling, a polar bear dip, snow carving, horse drawn carriage rides, and of course sledding. It's just fun to see the community come together. I am excited to go to things like this when Lexi is bigger. She isn't such a fan yet.

Growing Up

These last few weeks I have really felt like Alexia has really grown up a lot, so to speak. She is learning so many new things. She is now a champ at eating solids. She loves sweet potatoes and now peaches. She loves feeding herself. She eats pieces of bread, whole peas, cheeroes, grated cheese, etc. She is an AMAZING sleeper. She sleeps 12 -14 hours with one or no feedings! It's wonderful. She is getting better at napping too. Lexi is so much more social. She loves to chat with us and touch our faces. She blows bubbles all the time now from her mouth, it is hilarious. I am working on using sign language with her. I am concentrating on "milk" and "eat" right now. She sits up so well. Still no crawling, she isn't showing any interest, which is fine with me. She has out grown her baby tub and now bathes in the regular tub. Her hair is growing! It moves in the water when she bathes. She smiles and "flirts" with people where ever we go... I feel like this is the most random post. I am just trying to document all of her recent accomplishments.

A Possible Alexia Look-A-Like

Out of all of Alexia's cousins (all three of them) she looks the most like her cousin Parker. He is almost exaclty a year older than her. Michelle is pregnant again and due the day before Alexia's first birthday. We are so excited for Alexia to have another cousin and for Parker to be a big brother. (I am not trying to steal Michelle's thunder) Michelle and Justin got a Sneek-Peek (they are only 16 weeks along) and drum-roll please... IT'S A GIRL! It is possible for a Searle to have a girl after all! (Justin comes from a family of all boys who have boys)... So here is my point if Alexia and Parker look-a-like, I think that Alexia and Michelle's baby (Halley, I think is the name the are using) might look-a-like! I am so excited to see my new niece with my daughter!

This is What I've Been Waiting For!

Last night, I put Alexia in bed just before 8:00 pm and she fell asleep shortly after that. And here is the amazing part. She didn't wake up once in the night! She woke up this morning a little after 8:00 am happy and hungry. She slept 12 hours with no feedings, which means I got time to myself to get things done around the house and of course the all important sleep! I credit all this sleep to a growth spurt and all the solid foods she is eating. The last two days I kept track of everything she ate and here and the averages for a 24 hour period...

21 ounces milk
4 Tbsp baby cereal
5 1/2 Tbsp veggies
2 Tbsp Dnner mixes (Turkey and Rice dinner)

Our Little Social Butterfly

So last week I watched Tyler twice and this week I've babysat Ryan twice. They are both babies from our ward. I just helped out when plans fell through. It has been fun having play mates for Alexia. She loves having other babies over here.

Here are some pictures of all the fun. Tyler is 2 months older than Alexia but A LOT bigger. He was 4 lbs bigger than her at birth and Ryan is 5 months older than Alexia and was only an ounces bigger than her at birth...

Double the Trouble

So I know that I just posted about Alexia getting her first tooth but guess what she is getting her second one now too. It is right next to the first.

Growing Pains

Last week I noticed that Lexi had a tooth breaking through her gums. She has been teething for a while now so I am kind of excited to finally get this over with, well until the next one comes in. It is slowly coming in more each day but it is a long process... how many more times to we get to go through this?

6 Months of Alexia!

Yesterday was Alexia's half birthday. I can't believe it. Time has gone by fast but we are loving every minute of our adorable daughter's life. Alexia has changed so much in the past month. She can almost sit up by herself without tipping over. She is even more talkative then before. She laughs a lot and smiles even more. She can say "dada" although she doesn't know what it means, she just makes the sound, which makes Sean feel good. She LOVES eating "solids." She eatings 3 meals a day now with bottles in between. She eats rice, barley, and mix grain cereals and oatmeal. And she has tried peas, green beans and today squash, which she ate a whole container in 2 feedings! She is so much fun and is getting so big. We went to the doctor's yesterday and she is...

She is 14 1/2 lbs (24%)
And is 26.3 inches (71%)

Living the Pampered Live... Sort Of

We got new phones! And we got a new cell phone plan. We finally are on the same plan. We went with Team Mobile. I have the same number, Sean has a temporary Idaho number until we can get his from Sprint. We share 700 minutes a month and have free nights after 9 pm and free weekends. And I have texting but Sean doesn't, so don't text him. We LOVE our new phones! It is the nicest phone I have ever had. Sean's is the green one and mine is the silver.

Our Christmas Vacation

No, I have not forgotten about my blog. We have just been on vacation. I wanted to blog while away but for some reason my parents computer wouldn't let me upload pictures (and who wants to read a post without pictures).

We had a wonderful trip, minus the traveling. On the way there we made it through the Blue Mountains right before they closed. On the way back we couldn't get through the Casades because the pass was closed so we had to go a different, longer route.

It was nice to see my family again. They last time they saw Lexi she was 7 weeks old! It was nice to see friends too.

Our time in Washington started with me horribly sick, followed by all of my family and some of Sean's. Then being snowed in. We got so much snow. It was unbelievable!

Christmas was great. It was fun to have Alexia. She of course didn't know what was going on but she enjoyed sucking on the bows of the presents. The highlight of Christmas day was definetly our new Wii. We have wanted one for so long and now we finally have one (which is great because our wonderful friends Buck and Aubrey moved and they were our Wii connection).

We are happy to be back. Traveling is great but it's always nice to be home.
