Swimming

We have a great pool in our complex. We are there swimming several times a week.
I never seem to bring my camera with me when we go swimming and if I do,
I'm usually too busy watching my girls to take pictures.
But today we went swimming with my friend Aubrey and her two girls and
my sister-in-law Michelle and her two kids along with her friends two little boys.
So since there was some extra adult supervision, I snapped a few quick pictures.
...
The first two pictures show what a little shadow Avery is.
EVERYTHING that Lexi does, Avery does too.

I bought the girls some buckets and shovels and they decided to take them to the pool.
They have a blast emptying the pool every time we go now.

Avery wants to be so big and independent.
Which can mean trouble in a pool.
I have to watch this girl like a hawk.

Lexi loves her little Puddle Jumper floaty jacket thing.
She loves wearing it and just swimming where ever she wants and jumping in.

I love this picture of the girls and Halle.
They have loved living so close to some of their cousins.
And I think Halle has enjoyed having some girls to play with.

Michelle got a good work out today watching all these kids.
She was great with them.
She pulled them all over the pool for hours.
They had a blast and I think she might have worn them out
(I know they wore her out).

And I just had to share these pictures of Aubrey's baby.
(I hope she doesn't mind.)
But check out this cutie!
And she's like the best baby ever!

March - My Month of Excuses

I can't believe March has come and gone.
It was a crazy month for our family.
The girls and I got back from Washington, just in time for me to get a cold.
Then the girls got the flu.
Then Sean got a cold.
Avery still has a really running nose.
And during this time, I was experiencing morning sicknesses.
...
We did however still manage to have a little fun and take a few pictures.
Here are the girls excitedly waiting for their Daddy-Daughter Sleep Over.
They had missed their dad while we were away for three weeks.
So Lexi decided they needed a sleep over.
So we blew up the air mattress and made signs in preparation.
In this picture they playing in their bedding while waiting for Sean to come home.

For St. Patrick's Day, leperchauns came to our house and made some mischief.
They also left little gold candies everywhere.
Avery was confused but still excited about candy and Lexi was thrilled.

I made corned beef and cabbage for the first time and it turned out great.
I loved eating this as a kid.

I even made a fun green dessert.
That was a huge hit.

And then the flu struck.
We spent lots of time watching Disney movies and sleeping.

While the girls were sick I banned dress up clothes.
I didn't want to deal with snot all over them.
Now that the girls are over that they are dressing up all the time again.

It has been warm here.
So we bought 500 water balloons and have been having lots of fun with those.

We've already started our Easter Celebrations.
The girls participated in an egg hunt in the park.
Lexi found the golden egg and won a basket full of goodies.

When I wasn't dry heaving or taking care of snotty kids, I had a little fun of my own.
I went to The Hungry Games with a few of the girls from my book club.
We had a blast and I loved the movie.

I also went to Time Out For Women with some of my book club friends.
It was awesome!
I'm going again, no doubt about that.
Check out the schedule and see if you can go this year too. I recommend it.
Here's a picture of my friend Tresann and I with Laurel Christensen.
(Not to be confused with my sister-in-law Laurel Christensen.)
Laurel was amazing, my favorite speaker by far. She made me bawl like a baby.
So afterwards I had to go up and hug her and cry some more.
(Don't worry. It was good crying.)

And here's me with Hilary Weeks.
She was adorable!
She was so funny. I just loved her.
If you don't know who she is then check out this music video.

I also chopped off 12 inches of my hair!!!
I didn't realize how much hair I had or how much more I loved short hair.
Well now I know, and I probably won't be going back any time soon.

Now I just need to blog about my nearly 2 year old, moving to Utah, and my pregnancy.
I will be a better blogger again, I promise.
I always slack a little during my first trimester.

Washington Trip - The Last Post

Here are just a few more pictures from our trip...
My brother Ryan and the girls.

Lexi going for a ride on Ryan's ATV.
When Ryan drove by himself he drove on two wheels.
And Lexi asked me,"Why is uncle Ryan so crazy?"

I didn't read my girls bedtime stories at night.
They just wanted Grandma and Grandpa to read to them.

I took Lexi to see Beauty and The Beast The Broadway Musical.
We both loved it!

We went with our friends the Greenwoods.
Madi and Lexi had so much fun being princesses together.

David has been one of mine and Sean's best friends since high school.
It was really good to hang out with him and his adorable wife Chelsi again.

Since Sean's parents live 10 miles from mine we were able to visit them too!
They had a good time with their Nana and Papi.

My favorite thing we did at my in-laws' house was have a birthday cake.
Papi decided that he wanted chocolate cake.
So Lexi helped Nana make one.
Then Papi decided that we should put candles on it and sing Happy Birthday to him.
Lexi didn't like that idea, so we sang Happy Birthday to everyone.

And there you have it!

Thanksgiving Post... Better Late Than Never!

We stayed here in Albuquerque for Thanksgiving.

We decided to celebrate with our friends the Hornbargers.

Lexi had a lot of fun in the kitchen helping me prepare the food.

Avery had a lot of fun sampling the food.

The grown up and kid table.
My yummy dinner.
Evelyn and I did a great job!
Seriously, I think it was the best turkey I have ever eaten.
Everything was just delicious.

Avery trying to feed Kaylee, who is 8 months younger than her.

I ended up baking 6 pies!
I know, I'm a little bit crazy.

Here's my apple pie.

The Christensens and the Hornbargers.

Whenever we get together, it's a little girl fest!

As a joke, Sean shaved his face but left a mustache for Thanksgiving dinner.

Evelyn and Ian didn't get that it was a joke. They thought Sean was serious about it.

All day Sean couldn't bare to look at himself in the mirror.

It was pretty comical.

Well there you have it. My quickly done, long over due, Thanksgiving post.

Halloween Happened Along Time Ago!!!

YES. I'M STILL ALIVE!!!

AND THIS BLOG IS NOT DEAD!!!

I'M BACK!!!

...

So now it's time for a MASSIVE amount of blogging.

I have reasons for not blogging for the last two months.

Sean was studying for the CPA back in November and needed the computer all the time.

Then it was Thanksgiving and then Sean took said CPA test (and passed).

And then my biggest reason for not blogger is that our desktop got a virus back in November and we just got it finally fixed this week.

...

So, Halloween.

It was great. Lexi had a party at preschool.

And then we went to the Trunk-or-Treat at the church.

Here are a few pictures from that...

And here some pictures of the girls on Halloween.

Of course, it was a Princessed themed Halloween at our house.

All ready to go.

I was a witch.

Sean was a dad.

We went Trick-or-Treating with our friends the Hornbargers.

Avery had such a great time.

At first she just rode in the wagon with Kaylee.

Eventually she got out and walked with the big girls.

Avery insisted on carrying her pumpkin pail even though it probably weighed as much as her.

The girls got way more candy than I'd even let them eat.

And now I'm hoping I can blog about Thanksgiving before I put the girls to bed.
