Swimming

We have a great pool in our complex. We are there swimming several times a week.
I never seem to bring my camera with me when we go swimming and if I do,
I'm usually too busy watching my girls to take pictures.
But today we went swimming with my friend Aubrey and her two girls and
my sister-in-law Michelle and her two kids along with her friends two little boys.
So since there was some extra adult supervision, I snapped a few quick pictures.
...
The first two pictures show what a little shadow Avery is.
EVERYTHING that Lexi does, Avery does too.

I bought the girls some buckets and shovels and they decided to take them to the pool.
They have a blast emptying the pool every time we go now.

Avery wants to be so big and independent.
Which can mean trouble in a pool.
I have to watch this girl like a hawk.

Lexi loves her little Puddle Jumper floaty jacket thing.
She loves wearing it and just swimming where ever she wants and jumping in.

I love this picture of the girls and Halle.
They have loved living so close to some of their cousins.
And I think Halle has enjoyed having some girls to play with.

Michelle got a good work out today watching all these kids.
She was great with them.
She pulled them all over the pool for hours.
They had a blast and I think she might have worn them out
(I know they wore her out).

And I just had to share these pictures of Aubrey's baby.
(I hope she doesn't mind.)
But check out this cutie!
And she's like the best baby ever!

Summer is Here!

Memorial Day weekend kicked off the summer season.

Pools everywhere here finally opened and

we took full advantage of them in the hot 90 degree plus weather.

Here are some pictures from our fun four day weekend...

Avery HATES being in this little boat thing. She just wants to be held.

We got Lexi this little life jacket thingy which she will wear but

you still have to hold onto her or she gets scared.

Avery isn't too excited about the pool. She would just rather sit outside and eat on my lap.

One of the local pools (the Montgomery pool)

which is less than 30 minute walk from our house aka just under 2 miles,

has a kiddie pool.

Which is wear Lexi always wants to be.

Lexi loves to make finger prints and hand prints on the pavement.

Here are the girls all ready for church.

Close up a Avery. I love those big dark eyes!

For memorial day we went to the park and had yummy summer food.

Avery loves the freedom that walking gives her.

Lexi LOVES, LOVES, LOVES playing in the sand.

Sean also loves playing in the sand. In fact, he found this soccer ball 2 feet under the sand.

Avery even wanted to play in the sand. So Sean put her in the hole he dug.

Another afternoon at the Montgomery pool.

Remember that sunburn I got? Well it's all gone now, leaving awkward tan lines in it's place.

The Joys of H2O

Friday, I took Lexi swimming on campus for the second time. This time we went our friends Brenda and Sophie. We were in the pool for 30 minutes. And Lexi only screamed this time for 15 minutes! So, we are improving!

Saturday, the spray park opened. And we took Lexi. And she loved it! We will be going back many more times this summer.
