Little Woman

Lexi has grown up a lot this past month. In fact everyday she is learning new things and is surprising me with what she can do. It's so exciting to watch her grow and learn.

She hasn't learn to say a lot of new words yet but she understands a lot. She'll point to her toes, nose, hair or belly button if you ask her too. She knows the names of some animals now too, her favorite is dog. She can even say "dah" for dog. If we are reading a book I can ask her to point to the baby, ball, apple and sometimes banana and she gets it right. She also know who Elmo is.

She just picks up on stuff we do. For example, she takes her toy phone and pushes the ring button and puts it up to her ear and starts talking. She gets a hold of the remote and points it to the TV and pushes the buttons. If she gets a hold of my keys she will take them to the door and pretend she's unlocking it. If she wants me to go somewhere she'll push on my legs to try to get me to go there. If I ask her to go get a book she will and then she'll come sit on my lap so I can read it to her. And if she wants to go outside she'll bring me her shoes so I can put them on her or she'll go to the door and start waving "bye bye." She will now come up to us and give us a kiss on the lips and say "muah" when we ask her to. She also kisses her stuffed animals.

One of my favorite things she does is pretend to take care of her doll. She is a natural little mother. She'll try to put her dolls bottle in it's mouth and she'll bring me a blanket to wrap her in. Here are some pictures...

Dancing With Our Star

Last week, Dancing with the Stars started up again. Well, it's Lexi's favorite show. She loves music. She watches and dances to the music. Plus she loves clapping along with the crowd. Here is a video of her watching it last night. Isn't she hilarious?!

Vacations and Our Lives

It's time that I finally update our blog. Just for the record I have tried several times but the memory on my Picasa account was almost full so I couldn't upload pictures. So I'd thinned out some of my old photo albums and now I can finally upload pictures. This is going to be a Reader's Digest version of what's been going on...
Last month we flew to Vegas to see Sean's oldest brother Jared and his family. We had a blast. Jared had just finished taking the bar, so he was actually able to spend time with us. We ate lots of great food, went swimming, and of course, took dozens of pictures of our kids. Here are a few pictures...

Here we are somewhere on the strip (I know it's been so long since you've seen our faces)

Adalynn, Devin and Lexi playing dress up

We dressed them up so they matched. Some people really thought they were twins.

I don't know what we were thinking. Vegas in August. But we went swimming everyday to cool off.

Playing dress up in FAO Schwartz.

The end of last month we drove to western Idaho and stayed in McCall for a week with my family. McCall is a cute little town. The lake is gorgeous. It was nice to get away before Sean started school again...

Our family.

My family.

Lexi and I watching on the boat we rented.

Sean isn't as young as he used to be, he was sore after a day on the lake. My family rented a boat and a jet ski.

Lexi loved the beach and playing in the sand.

Since McCall we've been keeping busy in Rexburg...

Since I last posted, Lexi turning 14 months old. In fact, she'll be 15 months old next week. She has grown and change a bunch. She is such a little person now and not so much a baby. I'll have to devote an entire post to her.

This month Sean started his senior year. He has one semester left now (and an internship).

On September 12th we participated in a march across Rexburg. There was a protest in Washingon DC that day. One report estimated 2 million in DC.

We marched from Porter Park to the Rex. Here is Lexi at the theater.

The weather has been amazing this month. Lexi got to experience the Spray Park a few more times.

This past weekend we went down to Utah. We got to spend time with Sean's family. He and some of his brother's went to the BYU vs. Colorado State game on Saturday. We were also able to see our best friend's Buck and Aubrey. Here are some pictures from our crazy weekend...

Lexi and Mikayla

I got to watch Lexi, Adalynn and Devin during the game.

Of course the weekend invloved taking pictures of these girls.

The grandkids (minus Halle) all playing together.

Five of the six Christensen kids were together this weekend (minus Andrea who we missed). It was so much fun to be with family.

THERE! I DID IT! I updated my blog.

FYI, 5 years ago today Sean entered the MTC.

I'm Still Alive

I know it's been a while since I've posted on our blog. We've been out of town A LOT. But now we're back and I have the mother of all updates to do.
