12 Months of Avery

Today my sweet, little Avery turned one.

An emotional milestone.

It's been a fantastic year.

She has changed all of our lives for the better.

I can't imagine life with our our precious little bundle of joy.

Birthday's are a time of reflection, so let's take a walk down memory lane..

And here's Avery today on her first birthday enjoy a cupcake and frosting for the first time.

It was a great day, filled with family and friends.

Definitely an unforgettable day.

I will have to do another post about today later...

We've Been Busy!

We were planning on moving at the end of next month but we have decided

to stay in our complex until the end of summer.

My plan was to make the girls roommates when we moved but I don't want to wait now so

I just decided to go for it and make the transition last week.

Before Avery was in the bigger bedroom with us.

Now Sean and I are in the smaller bedroom.

(make sense to us since we spend no time in there and have no bedroom furniture)

And the girls are in the bigger room, which is great because

all of their toys are in there with them!

I'm so excited to decorate their room!

Right now it's pretty boring...

The girls have done AMAZING as roommates.
It makes me wonder why I wanted so long.
Avery still usually wakes up once to nurse but Lexi has never been woken up by Avery's cries.

And they LOVE being in there together.

It was meant to be!

We bought this shelving system at Lowe's and now their toys are in their closet.

Which makes me VERY happy!

Here's our new room from the hall.

It's small but we LOVE it!

After nearly a year of having Avery in our room we were SOOO ready for our own space.

Now we can lay in bed and read and talk at night.

To celebrate we bought new matching lamps.

(Someday we'll get some nightstands to put them on)

And because my girls are so cute, here are some recent pictures of them...

This first one is of Lexi wearing some of Avery's clothes.

Lexi is one petite little girl.

The girls shopping at Lowe's.

(Yes, I pretty much always have my camera with me)

Avery playing in our "Ball Bin."

I can't believe this little girl is going to be 1 in less than a week!

We are going to be real busy this next week. My parents fly in today from Seattle.

Lexi and I are SOOOO excited!

Mr. and Mrs. Christensen (The Anniversary Post)

Last Thursday, Sean and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary.

To be honest it feels like it's been longer than 4 years.

(In a good way)

If you look at the previous post, you'll know why it's felt like so long.

(Because we were together for 5 years before we got married)

Anyway, it's been a really exciting 4 years...

April not only marks our anniversary as husband and wife but also as a couple.

I've been reflecting on our history together.

As of this month, Sean and I have been together for 9 years!

I scanned some old pictures of us.
