4th Post of the Day - A Random Update

This is my last blog post of the day and then I'm all up to date!

HIP HIP HURRAY!

I get stressed when I'm behind on my blogging.

I blame my bad blogging lately on the fact that the girls both had strep and I had another big bow activity I was in charge of for the Young Woman at church.

Anyway, we recently went to the Botanical Gardens because

it's gorgeous, the weather has been great and we love going there!

While we were there we had a picnic.

Lexi was so excited.

I attempted to get a good picture of Sean and the girls for the picture frame

I bought him for his birthday.

And we just enjoyed being outside.

Look at this smile!

Melts my heart every time.

And look at all those teeth!!!

Since Sean's parents came in the beginning of April,

Avery has got two regular teeth and all 4 molars.

She only has 4 more teeth to go and then we are done with teething... for a while at least.

And speaking of Avery, look who has real big girl pig tails!!!

I'm on cloud 9.

And speaking of hair, I recently trimmed my bangs by myself.

I was scared to do it but too cheap to go get it done professionally.

I also cut about 1 1/2 inches off of the back of Lexi's hair.

Sorry, no pictures.

But I do have a picture of Lexi's new favorite hair do.

Braids "like Rapunzel"...

Is everyone saying, "awe" right about now?

I know. They are adorable!

And here's a random picture of Lexi playing tea party with one of her Lions.

The weather has been AMAZING!!!

Right now I love living in Albuquerque!

We've been going to the park a ton.

I will take the girls at night so Sean can study, we go on the weekends as a family, and

I am walking to some parks in the day (a couple of miles is good for me).

This little one NEVER crawls anymore!

She's a little walker.

She first started really walking a lot the day after her birthday

and is just getting better each day. In fact, she even ran way from Sean yesterday!

And not only does she walk and run, she climbs! And loves it.

Avery is a little hand full. But we sure love her!

All this sunshine is great and possibly makes you jealous until...

OUCH!

I was outside with the girls the other day at noon

(when the sun is the strongest)

and got a little fried!

I almost always have sunblock with me but didn't that day

and didn't plan on being out very long.

Luckily the girls were in the shade.

I'm gonna have some sweet tan lines.

But now that the pool is open I can work on those. Haha.

To end on a more fun note here is a picture of a cake I made for my lesson last Sunday.

The lesson was about marriage.

I was pretty pleased with myself.

I am not a baker.

But maybe I should be?

Our Old Man

Last Thursday, May 19th, was Sean's 26th birthday.

Lexi was so excited for her dad's birthday.

While Sean was at work we got ready.

Lexi helped me make this big sign to put up on our living room wall.

We hung streamers too.

And Lexi wanted to look pretty for daddy's birthday.

So I dolled her all up...

Sean came home with a bunch of balloons from his supervisor at work.
The girls were SO excited about the balloons.
They are still playing with them a week later.

One of Sean's presents was this picture frame that says, "World's Greatest Dad."

When he opened it, Sean asked me if he was supposed to

put a picture of himself in it to sit on his desk.
He thought it would be weird to have a picture of himself at work.

I told him we would put in a picture of him with the girls. Haha.

Here's the World's Greatest Dad with his baby.

To celebrate we went out to Texas Road House for dinner.

I was so excited to eat their amazing butter and steak!

Sean got to sit on a saddle and wear a goofy hat while everyone cheered for his birthday.

Avery was terrified of all the people huddled around us cheering loudly.

After dinner we went to one of our favorite parks...

This next picture is an inside joke.

If any of Sean's family remembers the video we made in St. George at Thanksgiving,

well, Sean is making fun of Justin.

Haha.

After the park we went home and the girls played with the balloons.

And we had a little dance party...

It was a great day to celebrate the life of an amazing man.

I love you Sean!

I look forward to sharing many more birthdays with you.

I Love Being a Mom

Mother's Day was a few weeks ago but

I thought I would just share some thoughts about motherhood...I absolutely LOVE being a mom.

My girls are my world.

I there is no way I'd rather be spending my day then with my two little ladies!

I love you Alexia Leah and Avery Joy.

The end.

Oh Yeah, My Parents Came

I'M BACK!

No, I didn't really go anyway. Just on a little strike from blogging.

Yesterday, my good friend/ Sister-in-Law Val,

asked me if I've stopped blogging because I'm pregnant!

The answer is a HUGE NO!

So, it's time to get blogging.

Last month my parents came to visit.

They were here for Easter and Avery's birthday.

And while they were here we also did a lot of other fun things.

We went to the Botanical Gardens (one of our favorite places here in ABQ)...

Sean just being Sean. Haha.

Some of my many attempts to get a family picture.

And one of me and my parents. I love this picture...

Lexi playing in the giant "sand box" inside the castle.

My girls with my parents. I love this picture too.

Lexi outside the "Princess Castle" with my parents.
We also went to Explora, the local children's museum.

Sean had never been. I've always just gone with the girls.

It was a lot of fun to go with other adults. And we were able to explore more...

First, Sean and Lexi in the music room.

Avery exploring with the help of my mom.

Now that Avery is older she wants to get out of the stroller and explore too.

Next, a picture of the girls in a little room under the stairs with colored lights.

While my parents were here we also went out to eat a few times.

Here's pictures from lunch their last day here...

My parents got the girls tons of bubble stuff and lots of sidewalk chalk.

They spent several afternoons outside playing.

(It was so nice to have someone else watch my kids for a little bit.)

We went to the zoo one day while Sean was at work.

The girls both love the zoo.

It was a warm day and just fun to be together...

These next two pictures are the best quality but I took them for Sean...

I love this goofy hat that Avery is wearing. Haha.

I LOVED HAVING MY PARENTS HERE!

They were BOTH so helpful with the girls and with chores around the house.

We had so much fun with them. I was sad to see them go but am doing okay because we will be seeing them in a few weeks when we meet up in Utah!
