My Newest Projects

I have really fell in love with sewing. Since Sean works Saturdays, I spend a lot of time in the sewing lab on campus. Here is what I've been up to...

This is little Lexi's Halloween custome. She is going to be a bear. I am so proud of it. I made up the pattern a little and I think it turned out great.
I am considering making me and Sean bear outfits so we can be papa bear, mama bear and baby bear for Halloween.
I have learned to make caps cute by adding bows and such. I am getting so good at these. I can bust one out in 10 mintues now.
This is her watermelon outfit. I think it's adorable. It's a little bright for my conservative hubbie but that's fine with me.
This isn't fancy but it's the first baby blanket I've made. I just sewed the edges but that is a big deal for me because I have trouble sewing straight lines.
I made this bib out of a towel. It is super easy to make. I just had trouble finding the right size of towel.
I made a couple pairs of these fleece PJs. I am way impressed by my abilities. I can't wait to put her in them during the winter.

Accidents Happen!

Yesterday, Sean was in a car accident. He is fine and he didn't cause it luckily. He was stopped at a red light and so was the girl behind him. The Girl behind her though was driving an SUV and had on soccer cleets and wasn't able to hit her breaks. She hit the girl in front of her who hit Sean. Luckily he didn't get pushed fair enough that he went into the intersection. His shoulder popped but we got it checked today and he is fine. Our car is fine but it got scartched on the bumper. It sucks a little though because we are looking at buying a new car in a week or two and trading this one in.

I am so happy that I wasn't in the car and especially that little Lex wasn't. My friend got in an accident the last month or so of her pregnancy and was put on bed rest because she started having contractions. So, I am so glade that I don't have to worry about that. Another blessing is that our carseat wasn't buckled in. We have it in the car so we can test it in the cars we have been looking into buying. The police officer told Sean that if you get in an accident with a carseat you need to get a new one because of the compression or pressure or something. Anyway, we are just so blessed that we had no big damage or injuries. The Lord is looking out for us... probablly because I have a little angle inside of me!

32 Weeks and Growing Pains

Today is my 32 week mark. That means only eight more until I'm due. I sure hope she comes early! I have been feeling a lot of "growing pains" lately. My hips and joints are sore all the time and Alex never stops moving. I can no longer lay down comfortably- I think that means I'm done being prego. I am going to the doctor's again this week. We might be getting another ultra-sound to see how big she is because I have been measuring early.
I cannot image getting any bigger. I hope I am about done growing. I don't have anymore room in here!
I did it. I don't know why but people take pictures of their tummy when they are prego but I did it too. Look my belly button is still in there. Sean keeps waiting for it to pop so he can pull on it.

Birthday Celebration

A year of progress.

This has been a great year for Sean. He has had a fabulous school year and is excited to be a dad and have a daddy's little girl. This has been a wonderful year of marriage for us too. Life is pretty great!

Above: Sean on his 22nd b-day. Below: Hes' now 23... Look how much older and hotter he is!

Alex got Sean a plane for his birthday. He played with it for hours at the park. I got Sean diapers and wipes. I know that sounds awful but that's what he said he wanted. He said it is more important for us to think about our baby then ourselves. He is already a fantastic dad!
So because my gift was so lame, I arrange a surprise gathering with some of our friends. Here are the guys playing Wii.
They played Mario Cart all night. We projected it on our wall and they we intertain for hours.

To make Sean birthday even better he had a break through day at work. He made four sales! At $40 a sale, it was a really great day!

Reciepe Challange

For my Meal Management class I have to create a reciepe file. It must contain at least 100 reciepes and I have to have tried and/or cooked all of them. I am on the look out for great new reciepes. Fellow Bloggers, share your favorites with me! Please! Especially if you know my husband likes them.

Bringing Home Baby... Stuff

This week has been an exciting one for Alexia. We got her a mattress, bedding, some clothes and a carseat and stroller. She is already living the life of luxury and she isn't even born! We are so excited for our daughter to be born. She already is so active and brings so much love and joy into our family and she is still inside my belly- which is now 45 inches! That is nearly 4 feet around! I am so ready for her to get out of me, especially now that I am sick. It is no fun being sick and prego. I am planning on going to the doc's tomorrow just to make sure everything is okay.

Pink! Everything is pink... the joys of a little girl.
This is one of Sean's favorite outfits for Alex.
Sean displaying his natural fathering abilities. He is so excited to be a daddy!
Alex will be spending a lot of time in here.
Me 30 weeks prego and horribly sick!

Baby Proofing Our Home

In preparation for this little bundle of joy, we are making some room for her and all of her equipment. Babies sure take up a lot of space! Check out the remodeling.

Pregnancy Update

Alexia is growing so much! This week, I realized that I can see her body moving inside of me. Looking at my stomach, I can see it move. It is so wierd but very exciting!

I went to the doctor's again today. I am 29 weeks now but still measuring early. Right now, I am measuring 33 weeks. Doctor Alred said that if we continue growing like this, I will be getting another ultrasound before Alexia is born. He thinks there is a good chance that she will come early and/or be big. She is our moose baby. Also, I got my sugar test and I passed! That made me so happy!

My First Sewing Project

I am in a children's clothing class this semester. I am so excited about the projects we are going to be making. This is our first one. I am making caps and booties. I also plan on making matching mittens. The ones in the picture are for newborns. I am so proud of myself. This were pretty easy to make. The booties were a little difficult because they are so small but it was worth it because they are so cute. I can't wait to see Alexia in them!
