Now that we are back home, I am sick with mastitis again. It's hard being sick and alone at home but I've done this before so I can do it again.

Alexia's First Road Trip
We went to Washington for a week and a half. It was fun to be with family and relax. Sean enjoyed the break from working. I enjoyed the opportunity to be with people instead of being at home alone with the baby. The drive was long with a newborn. We drove for three hours and then stop to feed her and then drove some more. It was so exhausting! Alexia got to meet her grandpa and nana Christensen for the first time. We were there for my dad's birthday. We had a baby shower for her. We had her baby blessing while we were there. She also got to meet some of my extended family. It was a great trip.

Celebrating my dad's birthday. He is even more officially over the hill! He is now 63.
Alexia started smiling more while we were in Washington. I can't wait for her to smile all the time.
Grandpa Christensen just loves holding babies and relaxing on the couch.
Alexia got to me my grandpa, her great-grandpa Briggs. It was exciting to have 4 generations together.
Here we are on her blessing day. Sean gave her a beautiful blessing. And her dress looked pretty good. I did a good job sewing it for a beginner.

The Name Game
So even though our baby has already been born and named we still have a little dilemma. Her name is Alexia Leah, which we love. We picked the name Alexia out while we were dating in high school. We always planned on naming our first baby girl Alex. Now that she is here I am thinking about calling her Lexi. All of our parents prefer it and so do several other people that I have talked to. It sounds more babyish. So question... which nick-name do you prefer and why? And can she have both? Is there another nick-name that would fit her better? Which name does she look like?

My New Life
It's been a while since I last posted, not by choice. Our computer isn't working. Since I am home all day with a baby I feel so anti-social. So I am at the library. Not too much has happened in the last little while. I just stay home all day and feed little "ia" (that is her newest nickname) and sleep when she is sleeping.
Yesterday, was Alexia's one month birthday day (is that what you call it?), I can't believe how much she has grow! I bet she is 8lbs something ozs now. She went to church for the first time on Sunday. I was so excited to get out of the house and socialize but I spent the whole time breast feeding her in the mother's lounge. Today we went to meet Sean for lunch. Now that she is getting bigger I am a little more comfortable taking her out. Which is great because I am worried I am going to go crazy!
Oh, I have posted some more pictures on our photo album. So check them out.
