This blog post is mostly for my mom and other members on her side of the family.
But feel free to read this post.
Over the Labor Day weekend we had a little last minute Beck (my mom's mom's side) reunion.
The Becks haven't been have regular reunions so we are trying to start making them a tradition again.
Friday night we got together at my mom's cousin Darla's house.
She lives just about 15 minutes from us and is such a doll.
I've always loved Darla and I'm really excited to live so close to her.
That night we ate, watched football, played games and just hung out.

My aunt Lisa (my mom's sister) came up from California.
My girls loved, loved, loved Lisa, especially Lexi.
They both just wanted Lisa to play with them and by the end of the night, Lisa was exhausted!
I've always just thought of Lisa as my wild and somewhat crazy aunt. But, man I sure do love her.
She is so fun to be around. And you can tell that she genuinely cares about you.
We played a game where you get a word or phrase and then have to draw a picture of it.
Then the next person sees just the picture and writes what they think it is.
The third person sees the word/ phrase that the second person wrote and then writes what they think it is.
And it just keeps going.
Anyway, it was a pretty entertaining game. Some people in our family are not artists
and some are just way to creative so we had some good laughs.
Saturday we actually had the reunion.
We met at a local church building.
My girls had a blast running around the huge grass area picking dandelions.
My cousin Devin made Lexi a necklace out of them.
We had some AMAZING Cafe Rio style food.
Seriously, it was AMAZING and I need to ask Darla for the recipe.
And we just hung out in the grass and played and chatted.
It was great, I didn't even have to watch my girls, everyone else did that for me.

They also played soccer and got a good work out doing it.
(Which was really good for Sean, since that was the last really physical thing he'll be doing for awhile.)
Then we headed inside the church and played some Minute-to-Win-it games.
We had a blast. It was very entertaining to watch.
1) Go Fish: fan the tissue paper fish (we used pieces of a streamer) across the room.
2) This Blows: players must blow a cup from one spot on the floor to another.
3) Nose Dive: players put Vaseline on their noses and must transfer 10 cotton balls from one plate to another. This one was hilarious to watch. My favorite by far!
4) Face the Cookie: players must get a cookie from their forehead to their mouth using only their facial expressions. Sean was really great at this one.

Avery did so great meeting so many new people and letting them hold her.
And my girls with my mom's two sisters: Cindy and Lisa.
Too bad my mom couldn't come, we missed her!
And here we are saying goodbye Sunday morning to just our side of the family.
It was really great to see some much family again!
Lexi was so sad when Lisa had to leave.
She made Lisa some artwork.
All weekend Lexi just wanted Lisa.
It was so cute.
