WA TRIP - Cute Christensen Cousins

Before our trip to Washington, I kept telling Lexi that she would see her cousins. She was SO excited. Here are a bunch of pictures from our trip of our girls with their cousins. First we have a picture of all the kids with their grandparents...

WA TRIP - A Blessed Baby

The day after Andrea' wedding, Sean blessed our little Avery. We don't believe that babies have need of being baptized. We believe that they are born without sin. So instead of doing a baby baptism or christening, babies in our church receive a name and a blessing (typically from their father). It's just an official way to introduce your baby and put their name on the records of the church and an opportunity to give them a father's blessing.

Here is little Miss Avery Joy all dressed up for church. I decided to get her a less traditional dress. It's an ivory little ball gown.

It was such a crazy day that I forgot to get pictures of Avery with just Sean and I. But I did manage to get one of my girls together for the photo album.

I thought this was a cute picture idea. Little did I know that eventually Avery would protest wearing her dress and would be dressed like this at church.

Avery was tired, hungry and needed to poop so during her blessing she wasn't the happiest baby. She screamed the whole time but Sean did great anyway. After the blessing I took her to the mother's lounge and nursed her and eventually took off her dress so she could nap comfortably.

Here we are after church. Lexi is tired and crabby and Avery is asleep and not even in her blessing dress. Oh well.

I was so happy that a lot of my family from Eastern Washington was able to come over for the blessing and meet Avery.

Two years ago this month we made the trip back to Washington to bless for Lexi's blessing.

WA TRIP - Andrea and Brandon's Wedding

Earlier this month we flew back home to Washington. Sean's little sister Andrea got married! We're so excited for Andrea and Brandon. They are such a cute couple and Brandon is a great fit for Andrea and the Christensen family. Here is a picture of Andrea and Brandon coming out of the temple. They were married in the Seattle Washington Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (the same place Sean and I were married).

I loved Andrea's dress and hair - timeless and elegant. She really was the most beautiful bride that I've ever seen!

I loved Andrea's cake! They had a small cake and tons of cupcakes with adorable little toppers.

The flowers were beautiful and the food was delicious!

It was such a fun day! And it was so great to be with all of Sean's family (something that is getting harder and harder to do). You can find more pictures from the wedding here.

Office Shenanigans

Sean's office is a little crazy, at least the people are. It's tradition in his office to go all out crazy and decorate each other's cubes when you go to Memphis the first time for training. Today was Sean's first day back at work and this is what he saw...

They did a bug theme for Sean because once he mentioned that he doesn't like spiders.

Sean brought home all the bugs for Lexi and she was thrilled!


Sean started the same time as another guy, Chris. They went to Memphis together. So today Chris found his cube looking like this...

Crazy, huh? Chris is born and raised in ABQ. In fact, he had never been way from the city for two weeks until Memphis. (Bottom of picture notice top of tumble weed)

If you couldn't tell the theme here is desert landscaping. He just bought a house and so they landscaped his desk. We're dealing with accountants here so this is about as creative as they get!

So pretty much Sean goes to works and parties all day... with a calculator. Haha. No, to be honest I'm not totally sure what he does but it sounds like he has fun!

Growning Up and "Practicing" Medicine

Introducing... Alexia Christensen, M.D.!!!

I bought Lexi this dress up outfit at Toys R Us last week. Isn't she precious in it?! She is OBSESSED with dress up and doing anything that Mommy and Daddy do. She is such a little woman/ Mommy and now a Doctor too!!!

Yesterday, Lexi said goodbye to her crib. It is now Avery's crib and is in our room. I'm not ready for them to share a room yet. Lexi LOVES her big girl bed. We got her bed rails which make her seem more comfortable in the bed. We also gave her a lion blanket (not pictured) which she FREAKED out about. It was actually a blanket Sean's mom made for him when he was a little boy.

Lexi has done so well in her new bed. When we went into her room this morning she was still in her bed and all of her toys were in their places. I don't think she ever got out of the bed even though she could. Today, when I went to get her out of her room after her nap I notice that she had gotten one of her dolls to sleep with.

And in case you're wondering, Sean is home again!!! He got back Friday night. Lexi was so giddy!!! She kept hugging him and kissing him and asked to ride on daddy. So adorable! She loves her daddy. We're all happy to be a family of four again!!!

And P.S. We are flying to Seattle this Thursday!!! Woot Woot!!! I'm SOOOOO excited! It's time to start packing.
