First Stop on the Christensen 2011 Tour

We were the first stop on the Christensen 2011 Tour.

Sean's parents are flying to several states to visit all of their children and grandchildren.

And they love us the most and wanted to visit us first.

(This must be really hard for all of the other kids in the family to read

but it's time the truth came out. Sorry.)

My in-laws were here for only a few days but we had so much fun with them.

Here are the girls with their Nana and Papi.

While they were here we went to the temple. It was pretty windy that day so we didn't get any good pictures there. We also were able to go to one of our favorite parks and just enjoy being outside in the sunshine.

Sean and his dad.

Sean LOVES his dad.

He's his role model.

I know that being with his dad again really made Sean want to move closer to home.

One afternoon the boys went golfing while us girls we shopping.

Furniture shopping that is.

Couch shopping.

Kristi has great taste and I wanted her opinion.

I really want a new couch and am starting to do my research now.

I'm hoping to buy a new couch by Christmas.

We had a lot of fun just hanging out.

We went out to eat, played Wii, went sight seeing, danced, and just talked.

This last picture is of Lexi dancing with her grandparents.

She absolutely loved dancing with them.
When it was time to say goodbye Lexi bawled.

She was so sad.

When I told Lexi that her Nana and Papi were going bye bye,

she told me, "I don't like that."

It broke my heart.

I hope that we can see Lexi and Avery's grandparents again soon!

5 on 5 and Family Update

I'm not sure if you remember but I wanted to do a new thing this year called "5 on 5."

Five pictures on the fifth day of each month.

I forgot last month.

And today I haven't felt like taking pictures and Avery wasn't really in the mood.

See...

Avery did cheer up after her bath so I snapped a few pictures then...

To make up for the lack of pictures today,

I will share some pictures I took of the girls yesterday...

And now some pictures from our recent adventures...

Last week we went to the Botanical Gardens.

It was gorgeous and sunny!

Oh, I love spring in Albuquerque!

So does Lexi, she gets so excited every time she sees a tree with flowers on it.

Or just flowers in general.

At the Botanical Gardens there is a little farm section with some animals.

There were a bunch of bunnies just wondering around.

Here's a pictures of Lexi chasing one.

It was Sean's idea.

And some more pictures from the gardens...

This past weekend was our church's General Conference.

We have a tradition of getting treats before the first session on Saturday.

This year we decided to get Costco muffins and croissants.

I snapped some pictures at Costco.

Lexi already seems embarrassed by me...

Eating while watching conference.
Recently my life has consisted of bows.

Tomorrow night I'm going to be teaching the Young Women how to make bows.

I've been spending weeks getting ready.

I even recently started a Facebook group called, "Beautiful Bows" where women can share pictures and tutorials.

And here's a picture of me modeling a jean bow I made with pearls.

Love it!

And just for fun a recent picture of Sean and Avery.
And speaking of Avery...

She took her first steps today!

She also got her first blooding nose today.

The two were not related.

And three out of the last four nights Avery has sleep through the night! HIP HIP HURRAY!!!

FINALLY!!!

Also, I've officially began planning her first birthday party.

I can't believe this little girl is going to be one in three weeks!

1 More Month...

...until my sweet, little Avery has her first birthday.

I can't believe my baby is already 11 months old!

She just keeps getting more fun and more adorable.

She's got us wrapped around her little pudgy fingers.

Avery makes the cutest faces.
And I melt every time I look into her big green eyes.
She loves exploring everything around her.
I love watching her discover and learn new things.
There is nothing better than hearing her saying, "mama" and "dada."
I can't imagine our lives' without her.
She's such an important part of our family.
I can't wait to celebrate her first birthday in a month with our friends and my parents.
WE LOVE YOU AVERY JOY!
