Avery's First Dentist Appointment

Last week I took the girls to the dentist.

I took the girls this time to Spencer Tasker. He used to live in our ward and he's awesome!

He's one of the people that helped us move into our old apartment,

when we first got to Albuquerque.

Avery had 14 teeth at her check-up (since then #15 has cut through).

She wanted nothing to do with anyone.

She was a pill, just like I knew she would be.

Lexi has 20 teeth.

She (we) need to be a little more diligent with our brushing and start flossing.

She was a little nervous and shy but did great.

Avery is 16 Months Old This Week

On Sunday my little Avery Joy turned 16 months old.

Avery is more fun than ever.

The other day Avery woke up a little before 7 and I ignored her and she fell back asleep until 8:20.

Too bad Lexi didn't sleep in too.

When I went to go get Avery out of her crib I found her like this...

Avery is our tiny dancer. The second she hears any music she begins dancing.

Avery is learning her body parts. Her favorite is nose.
She is always touching our noses and says nose.
The other touch she even touch one of my friends noses, even though she didn't know her!

Whenever anyone is going outside, or Avery thinks they are,
she will run around looking for her shoes while says, deet. For feet.

Every night when Sean gets home Avery gets so excited.

She looks out the dinning room window and waves and says hi as fast as she can.

Avery loves to run up and hug Lexi so hard that they both fall over.

Avery is actually a really tough little girl.

Avery loves books.

She will grab books all day long and bring them over to me and force her way into my lap.

...

Avery doesn't listen.

The other day I told her to sit down when she was standing on her little car that she rides on.

She didn't listen.

The next thing I knew she had fell over and had a bloody nose.

The fall didn't make her cry as much as the blood did.

She was bleeding like CRAZY. Seriously, she and I were really covered in blood!

...

Avery's favorite TV show is Caillou.

If you ask her if she wants to watch Caillou she says yah and starts dancing.

She loves to dance to the theme song.

I know Caillou is a little old for her but she watches because Lexi does.

And now I think she loves it more than Lexi.

...

I've started sending Avery to time out.

Mostly for pulling Lexi's hair.

When she does it we say, "Naughty. Time out in crib."

And she instantly begins screaming like it's the end of the world!

...

Avery loves brushing her teeth. Whenever Sean or I are brushing our teeth

or are just in the bathroom, Avery will come up to us and say "teet" for teeth.

Lexi's First Week of Preschool

Again my pictures of so pixelated on Blogger. Grrr.

Anyway, Last week Lexi started Preschool.

I can't believe that she is old enough to go to school.

Lexi goes to Preschool on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30-noon.

She is in a co-op style preschool.

There are six kids and every two weeks we rotate whose house we have preschool at.

The moms are the teachers.

Each week the kids learn about a different letter.
On the weeks of holidays they learn about that holiday.

Every first Thursday of the month we have a field trip.

We have some fun field trips planned, including the fair, a pumpkin patch, a tour of Dion's (an amazing local pizza restaurant), Explora (the local children's science museum), the aquarium and Art Attack (I'm not really sure what that is)... just to name a few.

Lexi loves preschool.

She has loved doing art projects and eating snacks and learning about new things.

I have loved the time at home in peace and quiet since Avery naps during preschool.

I'll explain this last picture.

Lexi and her friend Tess (who we carpool with) are wearing astronaut helmets they made out of milk jugs. They were learning about the letter A and astronauts.
Tess is 9 months older than Lexi. So she's going to be one of the oldest in their grade and apparently one of the tallest. Lexi is going to be one of the short, young ones!

Why I've been neglecting my blog...

I'm not sure why but all of my pictures

are turning really pixelated when I upload them into Blogger.

That's really annoying but I'm not gonna let anything else stop my from blogging today.

...

There are several reasons why I haven't been blogging.

1) We've had sick kiddo's. Just colds, you know, running nose.

2) We are moving two weeks from Friday,

which means I have to call and change my address one hundred times in the next two weeks.

Okay, maybe only like 20 or 25 times.

And I have to pack up all the way to many things that we own.

3) I've been reading A LOT.

I just got these books a few weeks ago and am reading them.

I just finished Anne of Green Gables and I LOVED IT!!!
4) I finally started using Good Reads.

It's a website were you share which books you've read and how you liked them.

5) I've started using and became addicted to Pinterest.

It's a website that lets you "pin" or bookmark things you find online, like recipes and crafts.

Just click on the link and check out my profile.

6) We've been hanging out with friends.
Here's a picture of Sean with our girls and Lexi's two friends Julie and Tess.

Sean is learning how tiring it will be when we have four kids of our own.

...

And now just some pictures of my girls...

These two love being together.

They are sweet and rough with each other. Real best friends.

We have (hopefully) finally figured out what the girls will be for Halloween...

I have a little altering to do but do they make a cute Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty.

Lexi wants Sean and I to be a King and Queen. We'll see about that one.

Did I mention that my girls are growing up?

I haven't been in much of a blogging mood lately
and I really haven't been taking too many pictures.
GASP!
I know.
I think it's due to fact that our house is being packed up
and we are living among a maze of boxes.
Seriously, our living room is full of boxes and sold our couch so there is no place for us to sit.
Anyway, I thought I'd just blog about my girls (shocker, I know).

Avery is 15 months old.
Her stats at her check up were: 19 1/2 lbs (5%) and 29 1/2 inches (20%).

Avery is full of personality and she requires a lot of attention
because she loves to do things she's not supposed to.
Avery's two new favorite toys are the computer and the dishwasher.

Avery will push a chair over to the desk and get up on it and play with the keyboard.
If we are at the computer and get up for one second Avery is instantly on our chair
and playing with the computer. She is fast.

Avery now say "ya." So now when we asked her if she wants something she'll say, "ya."
She doesn't know how to say "no" which is really nice.

One of Avery's new favorite things to do is pull Lexi's hair.

Lexi is growing up too.
At her three year check up her stats where: 30 lbs (30%) and 36 1/2 inches (30%).
Her doctor informed me that if Lexi remained in there percentiles that as an adult she would be: 5'3 and 115 lbs. It's weird to think about her as an adult.
And it seems like both of my girls will be nothing like me. They are shorties and I'm 5'9.

Lexi is really shy around men. And for some reason she was really scared of the missionaries in our ward. We recently got Elders. Lexi liked the Sisters missionaries before them.
Anyway, the "Elders" gave Lexi this back pack to try to win over Lexi.
It kinda worked. She is doing a lot better with them which is great because they are now over weekly with Sean's new calling as Ward Mission Leader.

Lexi's new favorite show is Dora the Explorer. She is obsessed with maps now. She is always asking me to draw her a map to the beach or somewhere random.

And at the end of each Dora episode, Dora asks the kids what their favorite part is.
So now whenever we do anything Lexi asks me what my favorite part was.

The other day I changed Avery's diaper and when I was done Lexi told Avery,
" Go forth and play."

Oh, another thing about Avery, whenever we sit down at the table Avery automatically folds her arms to pray. And when I get up to go get something for the kitchen and sit back down Avery folds her arms again. She is always reminding us to pray.

Avery now using forks and spoons.

And one other thing about Lexi, her new favorite game is, "Guess Who?"
She's actually pretty good at it and is fun to play with.

In Serious Need of an Update

My mom was asking me the other day when I was going to blog or post new pictures.
So here you go mom...

I feel like I really need to update my blog but I don't really have a lot of time right now so here are just some of the basics:

-Sean switched teams at work and is no longer working downtown. He now works up north (off Alameda and Jefferson - that's for Brandon) at a major contractors, so his commute is shorter. I picked him up the other day and it took me 12 minutes to get there. Not too shabby.

-The girls and I are loving summer. We are enjoying walks, the park, swimming and picnic lunches.

-The girls had their 3 year and 15 month check up's. They are healthy and petite. I'm blog about that later.

-Sean got a new calling (kinda like a job or assignment) at church. He no longer teachers the priest (16 & 17 year old boys) he is now the ward mission leader. A really big and time consuming calling, especially in our ward. He's really excited though.

-I've been working on a major recipe collecting, typing, printing and organizing project. It's so nice to have all my recipes in one beautifully organized binder!

-I'm working on getting the girls on the same night time schedule and routine. Before Avery would go to bed and wake up an hour earlier than Lexi. Avery is so excited to have Lexi with her every night. She just squeals with excitement every night. Last night, I heard Avery saying "hi" on the baby monitor for 5 minutes straight!

-We're moving!!! We signed and lease and put down a deposit on a new apartment. Although we hate our complex we weren't planning on moving anytime soon. But everything just fell into place and now we are moving next month. Our new place has 2 bathrooms and more space and the biggest wrap around deck. And if that wasn't enough the unit directly above one of our best friends. We are so excited. We move in September 16th.

-I feel like there has been a lot of other stuff going on but those all the big things.
